OFFICIAL NOTICE

Message from the Chief of the Examinations Management Office

Mid-West University, established by the Government of Nepal through an Act of Parliament on June 17, 2010, operates under the national policy framework of a multi-university system. As a state-supported central university, it serves a diverse academic community through its constituent and affiliated campuses across Karnali, Lumbini, and Bagmati Provinces. Since its establishment, the University has remained committed to expanding equitable access to quality higher education and fostering academic excellence across the nation.

The Examinations Management Office (EMO) functions as a central academic authority responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the University’s examination system. It plays a pivotal role in safeguarding academic integrity by ensuring that assessment processes are fair, transparent, reliable, and aligned with established academic standards in higher education. The EMO administers examinations across seven graduate schools: Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, Education, Science and Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Forestry, and Law.

In fulfilling its mandate, the EMO systematically evaluates the effectiveness of teaching and learning processes through the measurement of student performance and academic outcomes. The Office has implemented an integrated Education Management Information System (EMIS) to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of examination operations and result dissemination. This system supports data-driven decision-making and strengthens institutional accountability.

The EMO has progressively evolved into a key contributor to the University’s academic governance and strategic planning processes. Its operational effectiveness is underpinned by clearly defined procedures, institutional commitment, and the professionalism and dedication of its staff and leadership. The Office continuously strives to improve its systems and practices in accordance with national standards and emerging best practices in higher education assessment.

The Examinations Management Office remains firmly committed to ensuring the timely conduct of examinations, prompt and accurate publication of results, and the continuous enhancement of service reliability. It upholds the principles of transparency, accountability, and institutional integrity in all its functions. Furthermore, the EMO values constructive engagement with stakeholders, including students, faculty members, and affiliated institutions, as an essential component of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
